Anthony Rivard has been appraising residential real estate in British Columbia for over 25 years. He has market experience in Kamloops, Vernon and, since 1989, in the Greater Vancouver sector of the province. Local areas of coverage have included Whistler, Pemberton, Squamish, the Sunshine Coast, Bowen Island, the North Shore, including North and West Vancouver, and Vancouver and all of its surrounding municipalities.
-Until recently, he was an appraiser contractor to one of the most established appraisal firms in the Greater Vancouver area (for almost 12 years), and specialized in the valuation of unique and / or higher-value residential properties, and in the valuation of residential properties for special purposes (ie. taxation files, litigation, development scenarios), he appeared in court numerous times to support litigant clients,
-Prior to that, he was an appraiser contractor to the largest credit union in Canada, Vancouver City Savings Credit Union (Vancity), for 10 years, and still completes work for them today,
-Anthony Rivard’s other related experience has included stints as a licensed realtor, and licensed mortgage broker, both in the Greater Vancouver area.
Anthony Rivard’s specific education has included the following:
-Completion of the Appraisal Institute of Canada’s re-certification program,
-Graduation in the Marketing Management – Real Estate program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology,
-Graduation in the Real Estate Appraisal program offered by the Langara campus of Vancouver Community College.
